I need to know the name of the type of drawings that look like , well , bendy grids. PLEASE DONT SAY M.C. Escher's name to me. Yes, he did some things similar, but thats not the point. It doers nothing to tell me what Im looking for.

Charachteristics:

They should be black and white.
They should be based upon a modified grid or checkerboard pattern. (not fish or birds or whatever)
They should make your eyes "dance"/feel like theyre moving.

I'm looking for both the name of this type of art, and awesome examples of it.

Thanks in advance!
~JIM

It is called Tesselation, or Tesselating Drawings Yes, it includes MC Escher's work, but also many others. You'll have to weed through them. Also, OP art includes a lot of this. Op art is where you have grids, spirals and so on that create the optical illusion (hence the Op in Op Art) of bending, twisting etc.

This is usually an exersise all freshmen taking "Design 101" in college do.

To get zillions of examples, just google "Tesselating Drawings" and choose google images. I did not provide the link because it is a huge link, and I do not know how the Forum moderators will react to that.

Also google Op Art to see if this is a better fit.
