I am participating in NaNoWriMo. For those who don't know, this is an event in which you write a novel in one month, no editing no rewriting, just pure first-draft crap.

Here it is: http://www.nanowrimo.org/

Anyone can kick me so that I don't drop out?

Sounds cool. I try and try to write but even if I have what I think is the best idea I give up after five pages.

Maybe I (and you as well) should follow the lead of Jack Kerouac. He just sat down at his typewriter for three or so weeks and wrote almost non-stop. No paragraph breaks, no line breaks, no punctuation. The result: On the Road.

I currently have two ideas I've begun on: one about bullying, the pack mentality, and so on and one about how people percieve rewlationships they are in.

I joined today, so I'm pretty behind schedule (only 2452 words so far).
Heck, I don't even have a plot! I'm basing my whole story around a few random dares I picked up. I only have that number of words because
1. I pasted a recipe for guacamole
2. I quoted a couple of poets
3. I pasted the entire lyrics to Dragostea Din Tei
4. My main character quoted 180 words from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Do you want to have a Word War (is that the name?) against me? I'm Paula.f91 over there.

Dumped this two weeks into November, at 11799 words.

I dropped it more because I felt I had done what I wanted with my novel (there are a couple of interesting characters where the main character goes where I want her to) than because I knew I wasn't going to make it to 50k. So I feel good anyway.

Its my dream to be a writer... If I had known about this I would have been participating, oh well theres always next year. I'll just keep up on the stories I've been working on until then.
