so ive finished my first beat. i put it up on youtube but im sure nobody will see it for a while and i really want some feedback on it. its a slow string beat guitar/bass/ violin hip hop beat. if you guys could listen and tell me what you think it would make my night. good or bad. im really excited about it.

There are areas where the bass isn't musically synonymous with the guitar, that is, they divert into towards two different chord progressions. This needs to match.

This second suggestion is purely aesthetic: when the bass plays along exactly with the guitar part, rhythmically the sound the same. It becomes pedantic. You can have a few bass notes play in the spaces where the guitar rests. Or the bass can play counterpoint in certain areas. This, of course, would necessitate some knowledge and training in counterpoint.

Make sure you know what the chord progression is. It'll be much easier to write lyrics to it.

you're so right. i havent gotten into thewhole music theory/ sound design yet. i know a site that teaches some but ive been too busy thinking about doing it that actually doing it.
