Does anyone else here enjoy Robert Rankin? He's authored a lot of books, but I've yet to meet anyone who has read anything by him. I love his writing style and his comedy. I tried to find other authors similar to his style but was unable to find any.

What's your fav. Robert Rankin book? I'm reading The Brightonomicon at the moment.

They appear to be a bit difficult to find in the U.S.

I came across The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse on Usenet and generally enjoyed it.

A bit hit and miss, I am not a fan of fiction never mind far fetched fiction. Snuff fiction was my introduction to Rankin and it is a fantastic read. The second Rankin book i read was the garden of unearthly delights and i did not like it in the slightest. I did not even get half way through. However i can advise that if you are into this stuff you try the books of Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams.

I tried a couple of his books years ago, but they weren't my kind of thing.

I find Terry Pratchett very difficult to read. His characters are hard to imagine, and there's usually too man. I only tried 2 of his books though. I finished the first chapter and didn't understand a thing.

Is this just me or can they be difficult reads to get used to?
