I was wondering if there are any classical guitarists among the members here. Classical guitar is my primary interest, I took it up about 4.5 years ago and have worked my way up to about grade 8 level in our conservatory system here in Canada (10 grades plus a final certification exam). If there are other classical guitarists here perhaps you could share:

-who are your favorite composers?
-what have been your favorite pieces to play?
-what pieces are you working on right now?

For me, I like Leo Brouwer a lot. I find his body of work is nicely varied between beautiful melodic pieces, and really dissonant and rhythmically complex pieces. I also like Andrew York, and made it a good way through learning his piece Sirocco this year, which is one of my favorite guitar pieces. Right now I just started working on Sonatina by Torroba and Prelude in C minor by Barrios. I would be interested to hear what others enjoy playing.
