How do you express yourself?

For me it's music, if I'm ever feeling down or going through a hard time I always end up playing the guitar or writing lyrics to express my feelings, then when I write a song everything seems more worthwhile and I actually feel good about feeling bad (if you know what I mean) I also use art occasionally and I like word play (which I suppose fits into song writing)

So I was wondering what kind of things do you do to express yourself? What makes you get up in the morning when nothing else seems worthwhile?

I write. Mostly poetry and sometimes song lyrics. I'd play the piano as well if I had the money for one.

Projects... gardening, building, baking are my main forms of expression.

I draw and write poetry. I don't do either very well, but they make me feel good, and that's all that matters.

by doing things for people-and I have been criticized for doing that unfortunately but I know no other way to express my feelings properly when I like a person.

Music! Always turn to music, whether it's listening to it or writing it. I find myself most expressive writing instrumentals. Ironically, those are the most misunderstood

by drinking high strength cider, swearing and throwing cats at busses! just kidding!

I make music, draw, paint & write songs, plays, short stories etc. my creativity keeps me sane! if I didn't have any way to express myself I would probably end up a crazy homeless guy talking to Elvis through an empty cup of KFC gravy!

I suck with expressing myself except with posting or chatting but I'm not great at that either.

I draw or write things. Or take photos.

I like creative writing and writing e-mails to people. I listen to music to help bring out my emotions as well.

I write Naani poems. A thousand year old style of poetry with four lines. Always between 20 to 25 syllables

I consider my fiction and poetry writing to be a form of therapy. A lot of the characters and conflicts of my work come from my own experiences, or are at least allegorical of them.

Ice skating. I guess.

I draw, paint, along with the occasional printmaking.

I also write in my journal and blog (not private stuff, just aspie concerns, experience, and research).

I also play piano, guitar, and cello. I haven't really written any songs (I never remember what I come up with long enough to write it down) but I love improvising, and interpreting other people's work.

...yeah. I have tons of outlets. That's probably why I'm as well adjusted as I am. Art and music are my saving graces. This is also a way to share my inner world with others. I'm terrible at talking about myself and my feelings, but I can show people my art and share my music.
