Anyone ever listen to kexp. It is seattles greatest station and pretty much the greatest radio station ever. It also broadcasts live at kexp.org. On the website you can listen to two weeks worth of shows. They also have specialty shows every weekday at 6 to 9 pm and all day saturday and sunday. They also have a huge archive of live videos on youtube under kexpradio.

Hey! :D I live in Alabama where my 90.3 FM is our crappy NPR station which doesn't even hardly play music anymore. There is no over-the-air station like that here anymore. You have to have satellite or internet radio to hear anything except country, classic rock, top-40 bubblegum or rap. But I LOVE KEXP. I found it accidentally when I was looking for a song by somebody really obscure (at least here, anyway). I love their live in studio performances. Check out Pearly Gate Music. The set was incredible. It was much better than the album. I didn't know about the videos. Thanks!

Seattle is pretty lucky with the radio, we not only have KEXP but also C89.5, which is a student run commercial free dance station. As someone who spends a lot of time in my car, I really appreciate having multiple options that will play off-beat music; I'm especially fond of KEXP's Street Sounds program on Sunday nights after 6pm.

KEXP Isn't bad. It's sad how many Alternative/ish stations are dying out though. of the non-corporate variety of course

My favorite station was WOXY/97X out of Cincinnati (yep, that same 97X Rainman made famous). They eventually went Internet only, moved to Austin Texas, then went defunct. it's quite sad really.

I got into listening to CD101 out of Columbus, Ohio which I was only able to listen to online, but they stopped streaming almost a year ago. (They are still on the air in Columbus as CD102.5, but I'm not in range of the station) who knows how much longer they will be around.

I got hooked on a station closer to home V 107.3 Cleveland but it only lasted 2 years, and reverted back to their smooth jazz format.

More recently I found out WFNX out of Boston sold their 101.7 license to the evil Clear Channel, but do plan on going internet only. Hope they have better luck than WOXY did.

Last year, Q101 Chicago ceased, but someone brought back something similar, Q87.7 .

I'll occasionally listen to 93.9 the river out of Windsor, Ontario. The signal gets in fairly well here near Cleveland

Back here in the Cleveland area, there's a new Adult Album Alternative station starting fairly soon. 87.7 "Clevelanders Rock". I really hope they can last a while.
