24 hour party people! Oddly enough, I don't like Happy Mondays, but I still really like this movie.

All The Beatles' movies, as well as movies starring David Bowie. I also like most Andrew Lloyd Webber film musicals. And even though it's not a musical, I discovered both Toto and Brian Eno through the movie Dune.
I've also got Pink Floyd's The Wall (the film) on my Netflix queue and I'm looking forward to watching it.

Hi,

I saw the cover of this movie often at the video club but I didn't knew that it was something about music.

I'll probably rent it soon.

See ya !

Hmmn, I generally have problems with movie music, though I do love when the ambience can move in and out of tunes..

I loved The Matrix and its music actually.

and A Scanner Darkly had a very subtle, beautifully done soundtrack...

Grease
American Graffiti
Amadeus
Wayne's World
Fiddler on the Roof (even though I still have yet to watch the whole thing  )
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Haven't seen them yet, but A Hard Day's Night and This is Spinal Tap look pretty awesome.

The Shawshank Redemption isn't about music specifically, but there is a part that shows the amazing power of music to transcend our surroundings- the main character, who has a life sentence at Shawshank Prison, plays an aria from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro over the prison PA system, and for a moment every man there feels free. The main character has to do a week in solitary confinement for it, but says it was easy for him because he just listened to the music in his head. The score to that movie is also very good.

I haven't seen that movie since I was a little kid, and it was only once. Wasn't the main antagonist played by David Bowie?
