I pretty much don't listen to rap anymore. It's overall negative music, but when I did listen to rap, yeah... When I get a sub in my car, I'm gonna express myself playing this. Hella gangsta.

If you like the West Coast G-Funk sorta beats, check out George Clinton and Zapp & Roger. You get the cool sounds without the talking about shooting people.

Lakeside - Fantastic Voyage Yep, this turned into Coolio's "Fantastic Voyage."

That type of stuff is basically copied/sampled by the West Coast rappers. George Clinton in fact did tons of production work for Deathrow records. I feel these old funk songs are much better than the rap music that evolved out of them.
