Well, I think I got the right answer here.

I lot of people will tell you that it is just that they are two-dimensional. Well, that is not the cause. Disney princesses are two dimensional and I don't find them attractive. Plus, I see girls in my school who look alot like pretty anime girls and i am attracted to them. So it isn't really that.

Some people say that it is that they are really skinny and have prefect skin
that has no acne or anything. Well super models and actresses on live action media are like that and I don't feel attracted to them and I am more attracted to those girls at my school and they got some skin flaws. But then again, if those media women had those skin flaws, than they would be more on the ugly side, so it's got to be more than just that.

Some people say that it is just the art style.
Well, I see anime girls that are of the same art style as the pretty ones and they don't look so attractive. So this isn't it either.

So if it is none of the above, then what is it?

I'll tell you what it is: face shape and body form.

You see, those anime girls that I am attracted to have features that actresses and models in the western media don't:
• A short nose
• A short wide face
• A head that is more of a circle shape
• A flat facial profile
• A small pointed chin
• Thin lips
• A Smallish body form
• Pale white skin (may be some do have. this one, I'm not sure, I guess you will have to correct me on this one if I am wrong)

So yes, Kiki, Nausicaa, Sheeta, Haruhi and all other anime girls that I am attracted to have those features. And so do my school crushes (well, except for the nose, but they aren't too long).

So ya, that's what I think. If you agree with me, them just tell about it on the bellow posts and if you don't, tell me about that too.

You are either blind or lying or just haven't watched any decently animated anime. Seriously... :P

I wonder. I notice anime women have more of a cute or pair-bond-esque attractiveness to them rather than being just flat out sexy. The Moe look (with big childlike eyes) is not as attractive in my opinion.

Or maybe I just don't like women that look like 12 year old children?

Seriously, ever heard about different opinions?

Most of them don't look like 12 year olds though.

I don't find anime women attractive at all either.

I prefer real women. :P

True... they add boobies to those 12-year-olds. And sailor outfits. And eyes that are disturbingly out of proportion.

I had to restrain myself from laughing my ass off and waking everyone in the house up.

You know, you guys, I'm not the biggest anime geek out there by far, but whenever someone brings up the 'disproportionately large eyes' in anime character design, I like to look back on Akira and think of how its visual style simply worked, without featuring the big eyes.

It's the eyes. Definitely.

I don't really think that it's just the eyes only. There's alot more to it than just that, even though you can't easily point your finger at it, which I did on this first post of the thread. And those things that I pointed my finger at, is true if you got tastes that are similar to mine. Examples of anime girls that have all or most of those features listed on the first post are:

• Kiki form Kiki's Delivery Service
• Nausicaa from Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind
• Sheeta from Castle in the Sky
• Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart
• Haruhi from Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

You're attracted to what you like. I just happen to like the art style.

Yes... you're certainly entitled to it. I don't get it, myself... but it's like furries... if you get sexually attracted to something non-human, you won't be attracted to normal humans anymore. :?

Are you talking to me? If you are, then what entitled thing are you talking about?
