Working out and playing video games. I'm about to start a new morning workout regimen, and I play video games A LOT in my off time from work and school(playing Terraria as we speak)

I listen to EVERYTHING. Country, classic rock, alternative, game music, hip-hop/rap, R&B, reggae, jazz, classical, gospel, Christian(insert genre), metal(including speed, death and black metal) pop, and everything in between. In fact one of my favorite bands is Dropkick Murphys, an American Celtic band who plays punk rock, celtic punk, folk punk, and hardcore punk.

Anyway, recommend me some music(preferably CDs I can rip onto my 360 and PS3, but I will take it if it can be found exclusively on iTunes/Zune/whatever(list the service) and its REALLY good)

If you list metal though, just realize I am only just testing the waters with this genre and it is my LEAST favorite of them so far, so if you list it it had better be pretty damn good(as in, not too "in your face" which would distract me too much from my workout or from the game, but still enjoyable. I think it might be my least favorite because everytime someone starts up party chat and plays their ripped music on XBL, I always seem to have my headphones volume all the way up(its the only way I can hear them....really need a new gaming headset)

Please help me out here, music lover type people!! !

Thanks in advance!! !

Lol, not that so much as it is the fact sometimes I just wanna listen to my own music. After you stay in a zone for 3-4 hours grinding or achievement/trophy whoring and hearing the same in game track for that area OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, it starts to grind on your nerves. that and the fact I like multitasking...I'm the kind of guy who'll post on WP and the WoW forums while looking at demotivational posters (normally jailbait or kitten posters) and watch a vid on YouTube(sxephil or one of his alts...or Tobuscus or one of his alts....sometimes iJustine reviews) while gaming it up.

Have you tried Pandora.com? It can run a playlist off one song recommendation; then you can do it for another song and make another playlist. After that you can mix the two channels. It's a useful website radio.

Actually I was kind of hoping for so,me non-mainstream and not so well known artist reccomendations.....I can search for days for the mainstream stuff, but I can never find a lot of the non-mainstream artists. Particularly I'd like some recommendations for non-mainstream metal artists, as I've heard some of them are quite good.

You could try exercising to this. It's roughly equivalent to downing 3 espresso shots at once. XD

I Wish (Infected Remix)
Project 100
Stretched
Saeed
Vicious Delicious
Change the Formality
Becoming Insane
etc...

Glitch Mob
Dream Within a Dream
Fistful of Silence
Fortune Days
We Swarm

Crystal Method

Skrillex

Meh. None of this stuff is a satisfying substitute for Napalm Death.

I don't listen to any other style then dance / progressive dance / tech house/ progressive house / trance / dubstep / Electro / DNB when I'm at 24hr fitness or working out by myself at the park.

For COD(Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2), I usually listen to dance music but you didn't list it so I'll stay away from that as much as possible. The other genera's I'll listen to as well are hip-hop and reggae/dub. Most of the music I listen aren't on Youtube though. Here's a few tracks with a video from youtube.

Gramatik - Muy Tranquilo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZK9Zi26Izc

Dreadsquad & Tenor Fly -- Sweet Thing (Adam Faz dub rmx)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aglYB0lxM4I

Gramatik - Just Jammin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxdog1B1H-Y

Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath (DJ Kyaal Reggae Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV30rNQvUCw

If you are interested in Dub, I recommend Don Imuze. For Hiphop, JkSoul or Gramatik. For Electro House, Mord Fustang or Madeon's Remixes, for Trance, Arty, Alpha 9, Mat Zo, Adam K, for Nu-Disco/Indie/Alternative-Dance I recommend Fred Falk, Classixx, Lifelike, Alan Braxe, and aeroplane.

When I'm playing any other game, I prefer any songs that are light hearted. A little indie alternative, a little island reggae, and other sub-genera's that are fun and not too serious.

Vampire Weekend - Taxi Cab

Jamie Grace - Hold Me (featuring Toby Mac)

The islands - switched on

Kings Of Convenience - Misread

Arctic Monkeys - Baby I'm Yours
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0jR8adohcY

Givers - Up Up Up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_HBZ4M9K6A&ob=av2n

Alo - plastic bubble

Little Joy - next time around

I wasn't going to throw this guy straight into teh Napalm Death. I thought that might be a bit irresponsible.
