got this piece stuck in my head, probably used on a lot of BBC documentaries or lifestyle shows

its got a male voice that sounds muffled/muted and with tons of reverb, with a much higher pitched female voice that could well be a synthesizer

no idea what the lyrics could be.... could well be "you are here... " or "you want me...." for all i know.

Probably, or has? If so, has it been recent or a few years old?

has. not recent.

its quite slow and sort of churchy/choiry/chorally, at least to begin with, or in whatever part the beeb have used.

if any other instruments kick in, it would probably electronic drums and a bass synth...

if i had to take a stab at a band, it would be Enigma (the voices sound a bit like "principles of lust").
