Most of the songs in this work are about gambling, drinking and sex but they are in Latin and a little bit Old German. There is a part for a childrens' chorus. Do the children get a translation? Do they understand what they're singing about? Do they (or their parents) care?

I've always wondered about this, ever since I read the libretto as a child. My mom wouldn't have cared but there are some people who get really worked up over this sort of thing.
