I thought it would be interesting to document the top selling albums for each week in the U.S.

Week ending Nov 25, 2012:

1. Rihanna - Unapologetic - 238,000 (Week 1)

2. Taylor Swift - Red - 185,000 (Week 5)

3. One Direction - Take Me Home - 176,000 (Week 2)

4. Phillip Phillips - The World from the Side of the Moon - 169,000 (Week 1)

5. Kid Rock - Rebel Soul - 146,000 (Week 1)

6. Rod Stewart - Merry Christmas, Baby - 117,000 (Week 4)

7. Pink - The Truth About Love - 114,000 (Week 10)

8. Jason Aldean - Night Train - 103,000 (Week 6)

9. Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day - 101,000 (Week 1)

10. Keyshia Cole - Woman to Woman - 96,000 (Week 1)

It's a pretty good variety - r&b, country, hard rock, rap, etc.
Did you know that some artists have "bought" their way to the charts? It's been documented that artists and their management will spends thousands buying music online which raises their standing in the charts. I guess if it worked for Brian Epstein, it should work for others as well.
