I wrote this short story for a creative writing class last semester. Of the ones I did write, this one felt the most personal since it was inspired by my recent diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. I definitely appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, as I am very interested in trying out short story writing as a new hobby.

I hope you enjoy it. :)

Personally, I loved it except for the ending. On that I understand everyone responds to their dx in their own way. My own reaction was more relief than anything else. Finally their was an explanation, an answer, for the problems I repeatedly faced, and with an explanation I had a direction to look for solutions to the problems.

On the positive note, I was totally sucked in to the story almost as soon as I began reading. I would like to read more from you.

Thank you for sharing.

Nice story. I liked it. I have never been professionally diagnosed, but I know I felt relief like Bliss did when I discovered that I had this. It was the answer to years of crying during my childhood wondering why I was different from everybody else, an answer to mine and my mother's questions, such as why don't I do this? or why can't I do that? My answer in tears was always "I don't know." I was so relieved that there was a reason and it had a name and there were others like me.

Wow. That was good. You're a really good writer, and that was an amazing story, though I don't quite understand the ending. I'll probably figure out the ending later. Thank you for sharing.
