Manga: Kubo Tite's Bleach
I've been reading a lot of Bleach over the past couple months... I was mostly unaware of these series up until late 2012, even though it's been around for 10 years... but I've been catching up like crazy! I really, really like it. It's struck a chord with me like I rarely encounter in works of fiction.
I guess what I like most about Bleach is how the duels are presented. While those sword duels are always augmented with supernatural powers/techniques, it doesn't detract from the battles because it always seems to boil down to a battle of the personalities of the combatants. That, to me, is the beauty of Bleach. Every fighter has their own motivations, their own background, and quite distinct personality.
Also, whenever Ichigo or his allies face a new opponent, the opponent tends to intrigue me in some way, along with a visual aesthetic that appeals to me. Ikkaku, Kenpachi, Mayuri, Gin, Grimmjow, Nnoitra, Ulquiorra each felt like fresh new, original opponents to me, and their respective fights with the 'heroes' they faced had great build-up and pay off.
Sorry if it seems I'm gushing over Bleach here, but... I guess I kind of am. I understand how some long-time readers have been turned off about how the Hueco Mundo and Fake Kurakara Town arcs kind of dragged on, but I've been reading the Fullbgrin arc lately, and really enjoying it.
Also, I find the art is consistently beautiful, though mostly for the close quarters fight scenes and the character design. It does get a bit messy sometimes when things blow up or characters are flung around, but not too bothersome.
Anyone have anything to say about their own impressions of Bleach?

clarity of thought before rashness of action
I'm reading the manga out of sheer boredom because of filler plots in the anime. I read from the beginning because some parts happen differently in the Manga. I'm currently on Volume 10 out of (wow) 57. I don't read it very often since I'm reading other manga as well. Soul Eater, Naruto (just made it to the start of where Shippuden begins), MAR, Zatch Bell, One Piece (someone told me that where it is now, it is nowhere near towards the end) and more when I find it.
A list of Manga's I've completed reading.
Death Note (There's an alternate ending on YouTube in Manga form and I don't know where someone found it nor of it's legit and not fan-made)
Metroid (I like the game series but I had no idea it had its own manga. I was just going down the list in alphabetical order and I saw it.)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Some of the stuff towards the beginning was shown in the original but flash-backed to in Brotherhood like the Youswell Coal Mine plot).
