I think a lot of people here have probably heard Metallica at one time or another. What do you think their best album is?? I voted Master of Puppets though I think Ride the Lightning is quite good too. I don’t have much nice to say about their stuff after AJFA and even that is only half decent IMO..

I chose Kill em' all....RTL was just as good IMO. Kill em' all simply more raw and ahead of its time for the American metal scene. Plus I learned to play (on guitar) every song on Kill em' all by ear.

I went with Master of Puppets as well. That was Metallica at the top of their game. I wonder sometimes how their music from that point on would have been different if they hadn't all been put through the experience of losing Cliff Burton.

Damn.. I forgot to type Death Magnetic in. Oh well, hopefully no one votes for that anyway, lol.
<Btw.....this and Covenant are the best Morbid Angel albums by far IMO.

As much as i like MOP, I chose Ride the Lightning because i think that was were they really started to click. Plus, Creeping Death and For Whom the Bell Tolls are the best tracks on there.

I don't think that anyone has mentioned the S&M (Metallica and Symphony) Album. I'm not sure if it's "cool" to love that one, but as both a classical music and Metallica fan, I think it's bloody awesome!

I was trying to focus on strictly studio albums as opposed to other various releases (forgot to type in DM and Lulu though).
Personally I don’t care for the Load/Reload tracks on S&M and despite not minding classical music in itself feel that the orchestration just doesn’t work on most other songs as well, the exception being “Nothing Else Matters”.
Keep your votes coming fellow aspies, it’s a close poll!!

I think Blessed Are the Sick is pretty great as well but it's a bit more disjointed and doesn't flow as well. As for the Tucker albums Formulas Fatal to the Flesh is definitely my favourite.
