I like some early music, but my knowledge of that time period is rather limited, most of the earlier stuff I listen to is 1500-1630. I love William Byrd, Tobias Hume, Claudio Monteverdi, John Dowland, Thomas Tallis, etc. I've heard Palestrina is one of the pinnacle choral composers of that period, I've been meaning to check him out but haven't gotten around to it. Monteverdi is actually among my top 10 favorite composers, among all periods .
