I changed all the videos to non-corporate stuff. Hopefully that solves the problem.
This thread has got me thinking about what "New Zealand music" actually means.
As the thread shows, New Zealand artists have had success working within all sorts of contemporary genres, and their music is often pretty indistinguishable from, say, an English artist doing the same sort of thing around the same time.
Another point is that New Zealand artists often do not sing in a Kiwi accent, since it would limit their audience. Ladyhawke is a particularly obvious example of this (she pronounces "answer" and "chance" like an American in the first verse of My Delirium).
This is why, to me, real "New Zealand" music either has a Polynesian influence, or it actually refers to New Zealand stuff, or it is sung in a Kiwi accent. Everything else is just "music made by a New Zealand artist".
