Anyone like this song? The song is pretty inaccurate however, in that the Sun is not large enough to become a black hole.

I just love the tones. I don't care what the words are in most songs, the underlying beat has to sound good to me or I won't listen to it. And this is an awesome song.

When they released the song ('94) and I heard it being played for the first couple of times on the radio I bought the CD almost right away. Listened to it obsessively for a while and I still think it's a proud standing CD, (M.O.) but I've moved on (other music) and rarely listen to it anymore.

Still a good song....

I was really into Soundgarden in the early 90s and saw them open for GnR in 92, I really liked them and this song. But like Erminea Ive not listened to them in years!

I liked the motor finger album a lot and would bang my head to the song "outshined", I like alice in chains and pearl jam too. I am sure we dont have to worry about the astro-physics of the song as the lyrics are probably metaphorical, and we know us aspies find hard to grasp artistic metaphors sometimes.

Like most grunge, I have no idea what the singer is on about. I'm pretty sure Cornell is not postulating anything about the mass of the Sun.

Superunknown is a great album, by the way.

Kill it with fire, get it off my radio already.

Not that it's inherently bad necessarily. But who'd know at this point.

I think Black Hole Sun is a great song. Soundgarden's Superunknown album has a bunch of good songs.

Not yet anyway, it is slowly growing larger, and like all stars, it will supernova eventually. Also Kurt didn't specify which particular sun he was referring to.

I'm afraid that's not the case.

I agree that this has a very warped and tricky melody, one of the reasons I like it a lot. Though when someone has words this abstract you have to figure that they're latching onto something; otherwise the whole concept would just fall apart horribly (so Chris at least knew what he meant).
