Anyone here listen to the recent Grammy Award winning group Halestorm? I don't like heavy metal, but they're from the town where I'm currently living (and I went to the same high school, 37 years ago, along with the former catcher for the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees, Harold "Butch" Wynegar and former Philadelphia Eagles player Scott Fitzkee), Red Lion, PA.

Tarby, but I know none of you have heard of him, so, Iron Maiden or System of a Down.

That's really not that much variety, as it pretty much boils down to 1. Pop 2. Pop Rock 3. Christian Rock and 4. Country.

Current favorite, as in the artist most getting played at present? That would probably be AlunaGeorge, who have a wealth of excellent recorded material out for someone who has yet to release their first LP. I think they're set to become huge this year.

Newly-returned Fall Out Boy is back near the top of my list, along with Paramore. Red Hot Chili Peppers will always be a favorite but I much prefer John Frusciante's solo music. A band called Kitten is opening for Paramore in Chicago (when I'm seeing them) so I checked them out and got really into them. 2013 has been a dull year for music so far except for the one new Fall Out Boy song and the one new Paramore song, so far.

3: The Beatles
2: Guns N' Roses

Can't really pick one... Probably in this order:

1. Warren Zevon
2. Bob Dylan
3. David Bowie
4. The Pogues
5. The Kinks

First so far this year so far has been a great year for music. Second you won't get a lot of love from people about Fall Out Boy since they are seen as a studio created pop rock band.
