I am not sure you can class Blue Monday as disco?

Joy Division was not a disco band, but Blue Monday is definitely a disco/dance track. After Ian Curtis died and they become New Order, they greatly increased the synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines in their songs. They also incorporated Hip Hop/Latin Freestyle rhythms and heavy sampler use by the mid-1980s. Bernard Sumner said they were influenced by disco artists Sylvester and Donna Summer, and Blue Monday was mixed by DJs in clubs as a dance song. New Order is not simply a "rock band", but were also part of the dance scene.

British Hi-NRG music production team SAW (Stock, Aitken and Waterman) created a popular 1980's dance sound using digital synths and samplers.. They produced artists like Divine, Hazell Dean, Bananarama, Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue, Dead Or Alive.. :)

(1984) Hazell Dean ー Wherever I Go (7 Inch Single)

(1984) Dead Or Alive ー You Spin Me Round (Murder Mix)

EDIT:
I also love Ken Lazlo's "Hey Hey Guy" despite how literally gay it is.

I'm partial to EWF. Their best stuff is straight up funk, but they made some quality disco records as well:

Welcome! You have come to the right thread! Italodisco all the way!

Yes, not all, but definitely a lot of disco/dance music has Homosexuality themes in the lyrics or images.. But it doesn't matter if you are Gay / Straight / Bi / Whatever.. just enjoy a great dance track.. Disco / Hi-NRG / Dance / Club music is for everybody.. I think dance music is about a Celebration Of Living, yes sometimes it can be so-called "cheezy" hee hee, but whatever, as long as you have a great time, that's the point. :D

BTW the skirted guy in the old 1984 video is not him. This below is the real vocalist of "Ken Laszlo" in Russia in 2011. He is really Italian, named Gianni Coraini, and not Hungarian. "Laszlo" is just a Hungarian name he adopted as an alias, but later made his legal middle name :)
