Does anyone want to critique each other's stories?

It's come to my attention that we do not yet have a thread for critiquing each others stories - having one would greatly increase our collective writing ability - thus allowing for the Aspie community to get much better at the writing craft ;p

Just one thing - as some of the stories might be long, I don't think requiring them to read the whole thing is a good idea - rather, let them know where you stopped or when you got bored of the story - then the writer can look at that as the first place to change ;p

I have a finished story of about 5k words from my internship ready - while it's not perfect, anyone want a read?

Sure. I'm extremely inexperienced as an author, so anything I say in regards to writing is bound to be wrong, but I'm sure there are others with more knowledge who would happily go over your work.

I figure I should at least poke my head into this thread.

I don't have anything I need critiqued currently, but I have the time to offer the occasional review or help with proofreading. I'm good with concise writing and flow, but (I think) somewhat poor with dialogue and managing longer works.

I'd have to say general Sci-fi, I was short on time so I had to move the plot to that of another character's arc.

As a result, the plot is a bit weak - but my writing teacher said it was pretty good regardless.

Now I need to decide who to send what story to. XD
