Never been, never wanted to go but some of my favorite bands are p.laying this year :D :D :D Fr. John Misty, Calexico, Grizzly Bear, Cat Power, Animal Collective and Paul McCartney 8O 8) .

YAAAAHHH!! ! I wish I could go alone, or with just my son and daughter. He's 4 and likes Calexico, she's 16 and likes Animal Collective. But DH would never let me live it down if I went without him (despite his having gone to Portland without me).

I had no idea that Paul did festivals.

It seems like a pretty awesome one though.

Unless there's somebody else named Paul McCartney out there who's famous enough to headline, I'm pretty sure it's him.

Oh, I don't doubt that

I just had written off him ever doing any of the big festivals in the UK (particularly the one on my doorstep which has never had a Beatle perform, for completely inexplicable reasons). A quick Google tells me he did Glastonbury in 2004. For some reason I'd thought he'd never done Coachella either, but again, I was wrong.

Big festivals don't really appeal to me. I'm too old for them I think. I've been to the Glastonbury loooong time ago. I hardly remember it though lol.
I don't mind going to Coachella someday depending on the lineup. Oh, my daughter and I are going to the Hardrock Calling at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London in June. We are both big Kasabian fans. Sooo excited about this. (Paul Weller also playing! Tribes too!!)

Speaking of Paul MacCartney, did you guys hear about his concert in Brazil being swarmed by grasshoppers?
This picture made me laugh.

 That's great. Gotta love outdoor shows. Nature knows know stage manager!

Reminds me of the time I saw the Moody Blues outdoors and a moth as big as my head was attracted to the footlights and upstaged the band. The guitar player nearly fell off the stage trying to kick it away. .
