Does anyone know of any books about world war three?
more accurately I guess you could say alternate history books specifically set in the 1980's about world war three those are the type of books I'm looking for
similar to

Red Storm Rising -Tom Clancy

Red Army - Ralph Peters

The Third World War: The Untold Story - Sir John Hackett

Team Yankee- Harold Coyle

books like those set in the 1980's
does anyone know any?

Hmm. Most of the stuff I know about is how WW3 is averted at the last moment, unless is set in the aftermath of a nuclear exchange.

There was one a customer of a store I worked at in the 80's was reading: a soviet invasion of central europe is stopped by NATO, and "only a few hundred thousand people die".

Probably one of the ones you already listed.
