Beat Radio was a locally owned network of U.S. AM radio stations that played dance and electronic music for 12 hours every night from 2/18/1998 to 10/24/1998. It was founded by a DJ named Alan Freed.

Sometimes Beat Radio broadcasted live mixes from nightclubs, such as First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

I LOVED Beat Radio and listened to it EVERY night! :D
