New Poem: Ghost Town
The Dreadful Darkness Descends
Upon the unwitting town
And the Bells all toll
The laughter vanishes
And the shadows disappear
Not a single soul
The earth starts to rumble every building starts to crumble
Yet no one hears a sound
No one to recall
The families that once lived here, the people who all lived and died here
The people who have laughed and cried here
Anyone at all
The vibrant shades of life are now whispers in the darkness
A loud screech of silence
Not a trace of life
The trees all fall, the fragrant flowers woefully wilt
The colors bland to gray
No happiness nor strife
And embers of the past once stood, haunts the nothingness that stands here now
No more feeling; no more dreaming; no more smiling; no more hoping
Destroy the memories of what once was never to remain
No more fighting; no more crying; no more dying; no more moping
Voices echo in the hollow empty chamber
No more loving; no more living; no more laughing; no more learning
As disembodied as their former lives
No more wanting; no more wishing; no more yelling; no more yearning
The spirits screech
No more friendship… no more family… no
The writhing agony
No more houses… no more children
The hesitant slumber
No more destiny… no more
The wicked storm clouds
No more trying… no more
The vast void
No more understand…
Vacuum of matter
No more frivol…
Nothing but dust
No more care…
Nothing but time
No more…
Nothing
No...
