A (very) fast dance tune that I composed.

Need comments, constructive criticism and general feedback.

A medieval bolero in 5 sections, so the speak. Each new 16 bar section features a new lead instrument akin to Ravel's Bolero. The specific start and end times are the same for all instruments, but that's where I heard a problem. With the instruments with slower attacks, their delay was very noticeable, especially at the beginning of each 9th bar. Also, the 2nd section with the nasal hornpipe comes in a little loud, almost jarring. Very good work.

Did you use those delays to try to humanize the overall feel? Perhaps with slight variations in each section's start times it'd give a more realistic feel.

Thanks for the review :)

In order to "humanize" all my works, I actually play it myself, rather than plugging in the notes and copy-pasting.

The piece consists of a repeat of each section, and after the repeat, the melody changes again. That repeat is repeated by myself, in order to humanize it, where I actually had the option of repeating it by copy-pasting the last played melody.

The only copy-paste and editorial changes that were made, were of the entire piece or the entire melody played, to copy-paste it to a new instrument. Even here, I actually did play it myself, and then only made slight alterations (for example thrills for the flute, that is supposed to sound like an one-hand-flute).

Delightful ! ! I enjoy music from this period, and am glad to know that there are those like you who are composing in that genre.

I play it using a keyboard. Not a MIDI keyboard, but the one that I type with.

^^ Cool. Anything is better than drag 'n' drop for music like this.
