(Pronounced " tasch-es " , more or less) He has written such books as " Where Dead Voices Gather " , " The Devil And Sonny Liston " , and others .
Primarily non-fiction . I guess I'll leave this at this " minimal " level for now :P !

Tosches is a writer who values style over substance. His flamboyant application of Hunter S. Thompson 'gonzo journalism' techniques does a disservice to his subjects and has had a corrosive effect upon a generation of pop culture essayists and historians.

My hat is off to you! After lurking for a year, someone brought up a hot-button topic that inspired a response. Feel free to enjoy Mr. Tosches's colorful prose, but it'd be wise to keep a critical perspective on his interpretive approach.

...I guess it's " tosh-ez " , or " -es " , by the way - He once had something about " how a friend of him would incorrectly call him as if it rhymed with ' atrocious ' " ! :)
