Primarily non-fiction . I guess I'll leave this at this " minimal " level for now !

Tosches is a writer who values style over substance. His flamboyant application of Hunter S. Thompson 'gonzo journalism' techniques does a disservice to his subjects and has had a corrosive effect upon a generation of pop culture essayists and historians.

Well , he can certainly drop bits of knowledge about obscure 78s (and in the pre-YouTube era , too ! !! !! !! !!) , anyway...!

My hat is off to you! After lurking for a year, someone brought up a hot-button topic that inspired a response. Feel free to enjoy Mr. Tosches's colorful prose, but it'd be wise to keep a critical perspective on his interpretive approach.
