Hi everyone,
I'm Jack, 14, diagnosed with Asperger's, and I love science fiction. It's a great way to escape, and goes well with my interests in science and technology. So, to all Aspie supernerds out there: any of you love the stuff as much as I do? Do you get excited when you hear names like Arthur C Clarke, Neal Stephenson, Alastair Reynolds, or Frank Herbert? What are your favourite books, authors or series? I'd love to talk about this stuff with anyone who's interested, as I don't really know many sci-fi lovers.

Kind regards,
Jack

I like science fiction, and like fantasy, but I'm a huge horror fan. It's writers like Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Andrew Fox, and Joe Hill who capture my imagination. But I'll tell you, some of the very best horror, especially in movies, is achieved when it's taking place in a sci-fi setting, such as the original Alien, Event Horizon, and The Thing. And the aforementioned H.P. Lovecraft often achieved his best fiction mixing horror with science fiction, such as with At The Mountains Of Madness, and The Shadow Out Of Time.

Science-Fiction is my favorite genre, especially for role-playing games. Have I mentioned that I've been playing Traveller off and on for over 30 years?
