Try listening to Project Pitchfork, Funker Vogt, Combichrist. They rock.

I like some symphonic metal songs, like those by Nightwish ("Escapist", "Amaranth", "Phantom of the Opera") , Within Temptation ("The Truth Beneath the Rose", "Our Solemn Hour") and Evanescence (most songs on their "Fallen" album).

I actually own Project Pitchfork's Eon:Eon and am a huge Funker Vogt fan. Not so much into Combichrist but I used to like them quite a bit when I was a teenager.

Have you heard of the Cranes? They're kind of like gothic dream pop. Listen to some songs from their album LOVED. It's good stuff.

Recently I've started to discover new music. I'm now trying more dark ambient, NDT, gothic etc. So much to discover yet! Thus far I liked:

As you might've noticed I'm a bit of a sucker for Lacrimosa at the moment  Some parts I like less but it also has very good parts.

I don't post ambient as this is not the thread for it :P but I like Atrium Carceri a lot.

I recently saw them live:

And another:

I really love ''The climate changed'' and ''I close my eyes'' but I can't find them on YouTube.

Lots of great stuff here, but I can't believe no one has mentioned Bauhaus!!
Man, I love me some Post-Punk and Bauhaus is untoppable!! !!

Killing Joke is another great Post-Punk band. They are quite stylistically diverse and aren't necessarily goth, but are undeniably gothy!!

Clock DVA is another especially diverse band, Industrial/EBM/Post-Punk.

As far as Industrial/EBM, there is so much of it that I love... It is hard to know where to start. But, here goes.
Front Line Assembly is mindblowing, my number one adiction for over a year now - and all of their spinoffs are also utterly badass!!

Covenant is another can't-miss!!

Leæther Strip is a band that I have just recently discovered, who are damn brilliant!

I don't see much here, in the way of Gothic Metal. So, allow me!!
Tiamat is wicked, one of my all time favourites.

Moonspell is also pretty amazing.

Paradise Lost, is a must...

Well, this is at least a good start!

I would definitely say that industrial is probably my favorite genre of music, including its many derivative forms like EBM, coldwave, and industrial rock/metal, though I also enjoy darkwave, some goth rock, and the darker forms of synthpop.

Interestingly, I actually got into industrial music through bands like Rammstein and some of Nine Inch Nails' more metallic tracks, and from there I slowly became more of a rivethead, and less of a metalhead. :P I still enjoy metal, but I find that industrial and the other "goth" genres can provide the same sort of darkness and intensity, but with more intelligence and emotion, and less of the overblown machismo that metal often offers.

i used to listen to a lot of industrial music when i was a teenager. nowadays i mostly listen to punk rock, post punk, and garage rock. i was friends with the lead singer of stabbing westward like a decade ago. he asked me to do some design work for his new band in the early days and in exchange he sent me a signed copy of the "what do i have to do" single and "ungod" which i still have somewhere. as for what i listened to, i was into KMFDM, MDFMK, skinny puppy, ohgr, early nine inch nails, ministry, throbbing gristle, project pitchfork, and cabaret voltaire. i'm still really into post punk... a lot of bauhaus, joy division, echo & the bunnymen, sort sol, siglo xx, swans, gang of four, iceage. if you're into post punk, i suggest you check out iceage. they're a fairly current band from denmark and they combine a lot of interesting sounds. also i discovered an industrial hip hop group a few years ago called death grips. they just recently broke up, but their music was dark and riveting.

Listening to this at the moment, easily one of my favorite "deep cuts" by Skuppy.

Here's a choice cut from an album I've been listening to a LOT lately. It's a shame no one's made a video with the "Cage", "Gate", and "Guide" remixes all together, because they segue really well into one another and combine to make one awesome song. If you ever get a chance, listen to the 05:22:09:12 Off album for full effect.

I love this version of "Get Down, Make Love". It almost sounds like it would be right at home on the Broken EP. 8) (language warning)

This is a kickass song. Quality isn't the greatest, but this is my favorite version, and it is somewhat rare. Even at this quality, I couldn't help but headbang like crazy to the awesome beat. :D
