I got these bongos for Christmas. I've been playing them but I'm always off beat and I'm not consistent. I should practice more but I don't know how to properly play them. Is the lack of consistency a part of autism? Due to the fact that clumsiness is a trait of it?

please don't give up and let them gather dust, USE them daily! listen to music and play along with the music as best you can, in different rhythmic iterations to develop your musical imagination as well as your manual skills with the skins. practice will surely make more perfect. being a musician is an entry way for greater mental development.

i think this is a great for practice and performance.
of course you should get real percussion instruments.
but getting all real instruments might be hard, so its an alternative
this adds so much, hundreds of percussion varieties, and its portable! :D
