Today, I got a call saying that a special summer class I wanted to take was being canceled due to low enrollment. This was the second time this has happened this summer and I was disappointing to say the least.

However, I guess there was a silver lining to all of this because I will be playing a lead in my first legitimate NYC theatre production! The best thing is that I didn't even have to audition! I'm excited to really be starting my career as an actor! :D

And as a side note; the playwright who will also be playing a lead (my sister) and who just graduated from my University is a fellow Aspie! :D

Wonderful! :D I hope it all goes well ... with Aspies in the cast and writing the script, the play is guaranteed to be a success.

I was actually in it when it was a staged reading in its early developmental stages so I am familiar with the story. I'm excited to be doing this show, I am a little nervous about commuting into the city though. I am not a city person. Anyone know any good tips to navigating and getting around a city, particularly New York City?
