I am a fan...sort of.

I even have a tattoo of a Heartagram on my right shoulder (but that's more of a Wiccan symbol than anything though - a combination of love and the esoteric).

I listened to a few of H.I.M's albums over and over (when I was really into it), but out of all his songs, I only ever really liked 3 or 4...not enough to stay interested for long...and they all started to 'sound the same' and I got bored of listening.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when he covered 'Wicked Game' and I really love Chris Isaac's version and he totally destroyed it.

From there, I moved on to a Finnish band called The 69 Eyes and developed a brand new crush when I started to drool over Jyrki...then, I found out that Jyrki is exactly the same age as I am, to the day.

I'd definitely go and see H.I.M. in concert though!

I'm with you. I'm generally not a huge HIM fan (in terms of what I normally listen to) but I do like what I've heard and I would absolutely go see them live if they were in town.

And yeah the Wicked Game cover is bad to the bone. I like the original better, but to me they are essentially two completely different songs. I smoked many blunts in my last 2 years of college with the HIM cover as a backdrop.

Same. I love his voice and his image, but this is the only HIM song I really like. Mostly for the lyrical imagery.

They are alright though I like The 69 Eyes I saw mentioned earlier better.

I like their style, fits in with some of the darker rock music I occasionally dabble in. Favorite songs by them are "Vampire Heart" and "Under the Rose".

I think the original of Wicked Game sounds too feminine and weak.
