ok,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 1YvGGV1w5Q

I would post this YouTube video but I am rubbish at that kind of thing.

so the piano piece is most recognisable at the beginning, I just know its really well known, I will probably kick myself, but I just can't think of what it is.

Hrmmm, I'm a piano player, but it doesn't sound like anything I'm familiar with. He sort of plays it similarly to Prelude in C by Bach a bit here and there, but it's definitely not that (or in the key of C). I did some searching online and I can't seem to find reference to it at all. Are you sure it's not just his own creation?

perhaps it is his own piece, it sounds so much like a famous piano piece, perhaps I am confusing something that sounds similar. no I cant find anything on it either, I don't think its that a popular song yet.

That's possible, it wouldn't be the first time I've heard someone write something that sounds like a famous classical piece, although it's also possible that it is based on a classical piece and I'm just not recognising it. lol I actually was not familiar with Charlie Winston before this thread (although the name sounds really familiar), so it's possible there might not be a lot of info about his music out there.

Either way, good luck in your search!

At the very start it sounds like it's going to be a bit like Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, but that's probably not the one you're looking for. The other parts of the intro sound like they might have been inspired by some other classical piece, but I can't think which.

With some butchery, and some patchwork, it could be inspired by "Rachmaninov: Elegie Op.3 No.1"?

I found it too hard to follow the piano piece under his unpleasantly domineering voice to say for sure.
