Anyone here collect and play LP's? I started collecting before I even had a player, and it's fun popping into a charity shop and delving through to find that odd record or single you've been looking for!

Grew up collecting and playing LP's, but switched to CD's due to space restrictions in the house I was living in. Now download a lot of music in digital format.

I had a huge record collection when I was a teenager but now it's only down to a few. and I inherited my mom's boxed sets of operas. Unfortunately, I have no way to play them.

I own a few vinyl records myself, but my collection isn't exactly extensive. My CD collection is much larger, and my digital music library is just obscenely huge. :P

I've got about 300 LPs. Still play them and still but them. Just got a copy of The Barracudas live in Madrid! Stoked

I love my vinyls! I'm a child of the 90s, so normally I wouldn't know anything about them. A high school friend's mom was going to just get rid of her collection, so I offered to take it off her hands. I have a bunch of old Jazz, Fusion and Swing records, that are great to pop in when I need to clean or get homework done. I used to use Audacity to rip them onto my iPod, but the process of recording, cutting and labeling was so time consuming that I quit.

I have a good-sized collection of 1980s LPs, my favorite musical era.

Just hit two second hand music stores on the same city block. Between the two they bought about 20 out of my stack of 25 LPs . Rock, classical, club dance vinyls, two or three B.B.King albums.Got hundreds more at home of every kind of music.. Am moving so will probably abandon most of them (especially Seventies and Eighties rock which is the hardest category to unload), but will save a few. Have bought many from the same two stores over the years. Yes I do have a history of almost hoarding vinyl and CDs over the years.
