Theyre ok. Its an interesting psychadelic/Punk hybrid. The man who would be king is lovely too. Problem is that Pete Doherty's drug habit fouled the whole thing up. There's this idea that drugs make better musicians but if you actually look at this idea objectively you'll see that Jimmy Page Syd Barret Bill Evans and many others (as examples) began to deteriorate significantly once their addictions set in. In fact there are too many great bands and artists who lost everything due to drugs.
EDIT: Grace/Wastelands is very erratic. Some songs are great but he's pretty ragged on others. He's gone from being hailed by critics as a great British songwriter (Libertines) to being a pretty average songwriter. Kinda sad really. If only he'd bloody clean up!!

I saw Pete do The Man Who Would Be King and other songs live, he was alright, really! Was actually peppy and into it, although I don't know his situation with drugs now.
