Chances are that you all know about 2-D art and 3-D art, but have you ever seen a piece of art that changes over time? Classic works of this genre include "The Way Things Go" by Peter Fischli and David Weiss, and Nam June Paik's "TV Cello". If you find anything similar, post some links below.

Amazing... I had though about it but never did something by myself .. I think I'm going to start making something.

I enjoy the act of observation, and I would love to see the way thing go..

Society, if you want to see "The Way Things Go", a quick Google search can lead you to the video.

This doesn?t change over time, but the grassy islet is a 3D section of a figure in a 4D space (namely, a Julia fractal in the space of quaternions).

All art is 4d. This is more algorithmic or aleatory

Art that changes over time is called Time Based Art. It could be anything from a video or gaming work to, for example, there's a statue in the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney made of sandstone that was designed to weather over the years.

4D Art would probably be more aptly used to describe the artistic implementation of 4D printing
