How do aspies become actors???
So how do we do it. Daryl Hannah is autistic (Blade Runner the blonde replicant) I can act pretty well. I feel as if my identity is in constant motion so taking on a character feels natural and even like diving into a hot bath. I know that we observe others and thus have an advantage over many NT's but how do we portray characters convincingly when we havent mastered the subtleties of body language and social interplay???
EDIT: Pretty wells relative. I just mean that I dont feel as if im acting. I can become a character. How well I actually do this is another matter entirely

I like acting and the hard thing for me is memorizing lines, which in itself isn't even usually that bad. I have kind of spent my whole life putting on new personalities and being an entirely different person from one day to the next. Pretending to be someone else isn't that new to me. As a child, I always tried to portray characters I read about or invented in my everyday life. In middle school, kids used to give me chips or a little money in exchange for a perfect impersonation of them, a teacher, a celebrity, or sometimes just have me do a foreign accent.

Well, how does anyone become an actor? Talent, and opportunity.
I imagine it's the same, whether you're an Aspie, or NT.
That being said, there are some advantages, and disadvantages an actor with AS would have, compared to a neurotypical actor.
For example, a person with AS must become a student of human behavior, out of necessity. "Becoming a character," comes easily to people with AS, due to a lifetime of practice. The downside of this, is that such behavior can appear disingenuous, or robotic. To a neurotypical, normal behavior comes naturally. However, because their own behaviors are so reflexive, NT's are generally uncomfortable, "stepping into someone else's shoes," for a role.
That's my hypothesis.
