Once I took a trip to Washington, D.C. to an art museum and fell in love with a painting that reminded me of my Uncle Jack as I remembered him from my childhood but as if he lived in a bygone era. This picture which I though was titled "The Moor" may have been called something like "Keeper of the Harum" or "Keeper of the Gate"? I can't remember. It depicted a tale Black man dressed in white, sheik/Arabesque type clothing (body and head covered). Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? I'm longing to have a copy of this for my home if one exists.
