If you mean "folk" songs--yes, there are many.

"Hang down your head Tom Dooley" comes to mind.

Also: "House of the Rising Sun."

..." Filk music " is - at least most simply - a science fiction/fantasy convention thing of doing SFantastic-oriented lyrics to previously existing songs , Mad/Weird Al " sung to the tune of "-style . (I guess it can include original songs touching on fantasy world concept , too ~ And , there's a way way waayy long Wukipedia article on the subject that goes far deeper on it that I haven't had the time to read .)
