I am very involved in community theatre. The one I'm most often committed to doesn't do youth productions too often so I'm generally limited to backstage. However, a few of us started a Youth Play Commitee to choose children's shows to be put on each season at the theatre. The Board of Directors now allows us to do two out-of-season shows each year with the occasional show as a part of the real season.
I think that any kind acting/speech class is very good for people with AS. Before I got involved in theatre (around the age of my AS was 72 times worse than it is now as far as communicating with people. Being in theatre has brought me much more confidence than before. Though my symptoms aren't any more mild, they don't bother me as much.
