I'm currently reading this book. Its actually my second attempt at reading it.

Am I the only person who has no idea what the hell is going on? Do I need to be a an Oxford grad in English to understand this stuff? The language seems really complicated and I can't follow it at all. I really want to like it, the first few chapters are amazing and I can really feel the atmosphere of a Blade Runner-esque world.

But reading it is becoming a chore, Gibson seems to go off on a tangent and at times sounds a bit pretentious.

Anyone else feel the same or am I just too stupid to read it?

A Clockwork Orange was kinda similar, but I just went with the flow with that and it worked because I would subconsiously understand what the words meant even though I didn't.

I'm still determined to make it to end though!

It's a masterpiece.
Not much more to be said.

The plot may be a bit complex; but i think his language and stlye are superb.
The atmosphere is set in the first line.
Like Raymond Chandler in space.

You should not find this book a chore.
