I am looking for a person or several people with whom to talk with about my writing. As you may remember, I am writing several science fiction stories which basically fit into the sub-genre of space opera. This means they are similar in form to Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, and Star Wars. At first, I had started them as fan fiction for Star Trek: the Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, but I changed all but a few of them to my own universe. I'm just being indecisive on some of the technology levels and other background information, and would like to be able to discuss it with someone else.

I am also going for the ensemble character structure like that found in Buffy: the Vampire Slayer and some of the other aforementioned series. While my stories are not derivitave (I hope), it would be helpful if my helper / soundingboard was familiar with the works of Larry Niven, Alan Dean Foster, Anne MacCaffrey, Peter David, Orson Scott Card, Robert Heinlein, and Terry Pratchett.

While some of this can be discussed here, I would prefer to move it to private messages and maybe eventually to telephone conversations.

*has no idea who those writers are*

But apparently my own writing is very good!
