Writer's Discussion
All right, I was hoping somebody would be nice enough to add their comments to this post I have here; some of my other posts haven't been that successful. Hopefully, this one will be different. Anyway, as I've already established, I am an aspiring author that hopes to finish one novel and get it published. A lofty ambition, yes, but what is of the utmost importance right now is actually writing things down and writing a good novel I'm satisfied with. It's a mixture of self-gratification and need for acknowledgement in my abilities that I would like to accomplish this.
Anyway, to be noted, all my stories are written in manga/anime style. One of my more ambitious products is Liberi Fatali. I've posted a summary for it somewhere in this forum, though it was a condensed version of the story outline. I would love to actually start the thing, though I'm not confident in my own abilities and whether the story is exciting and is 'manga-like'. I would love people to contribute their own opinions/advice and whatnot to make it the best story possible.
Also, I need to get into the habit of writing everyday. I used to, but now I've been letting myself go to the wayside; are there any particular writing exercises that could help me with writing scenes?
If you have any questions about the story and whatnot, please feel free to ask.

You've used a lot of terms I don't know, because I don't follow the type of fiction you're writing about. I might just love your story.
You're right about the write every day. I don't mean to be a hard case here, but do it. Don't talk about it. You will also find that your task is a lot easier when you work with an outline. I don't mean a regular one either. Far from being super critical, I'm taking you seriously. I do this for a living. Sit down and do the whole thing in outline. I suspect you know your audience well enough not to need feedback. So finish the outline. If you need pointers on an outline, PM me (you'll find my information in my profile). As I am not on all the time, and I don' t check my profile that regularly, if I don't answer you within a week, write alex a note and ask him to send me an e-mail about you. I'll go check it.
writing is some of the hardest work I know (and I've been doing it now for some 30 years). Work hard, don't care what most other people think, and good luck. I can be especially helpfull when you get down about the writing. That is common, and it has to be dealt with.
Good luck, and keep it up.

I think the writing everyday this is good. I used to do that on my story (*cough*7 books*cough*) but I gradually slipped to the point where I don't write anymore. My way around that is this:
I made a fanfic of my story in the Roleplaying section, in the form of Create-an-adventure. You're using the same characters, possibly in a different realm, and meeting characters whereas it'd be impossible beforehand (for example, one character dies in my story, but I want that character to meet who is introduced later on in the story after that). It's quite fun and you get to practice your writing skills and character interaction.
