Anyone here a fan of Fall Out Boy or bands like them?
I have been a fan since "From Under The Cork Tree" came out.
I may be biased but I like every album they have ever put out, even the newer stuff.
I have seen them twice in concert only after their hiatus, once with paramore and just recently with wiz khalifa.

No...no...no...no, no no, no and just no......but I do like metal and half of it isent even in english turns out scandinavian languages sound good in metal. but yeah did nto care for fall out boy, though honestly sounds like in japanese it would be more entertaining than being in english. Why do people need english to appreciate art? Why cant one just watch a movie in a different language together and figure what it really means, than watching it sperately and coming to different conclusions...I mean seriously people with an S.0 trip together, watch sunsets together spend time together instead of abandoning each other and going different ways and never reaching your full self. Bonds are important in humanity..game of thrones depends on it.

I never liked them or that style. Emo is essentially the accessible version of Emocore, which dates back to the 80's. --Husker Du's 'Zen Arcade' was Emocore before there was even a Genre for it. It's also probably one of the best releases from the 1980's even though Spot, the producer ruined the EQ on a lot of the album. --Aside from the overmodulated EQ, what you got on the album was essentially representative of what the band was like live as aside from a few overdubs, all the songs on it were 1st. takes recorded live. The final song, 'Recurring Dreams' was essentially a 14 minute improv jam recorded directly from the mix desk to 2 track.

Also, not particularly Emo but certainly leading up to emocore, you might want to check Portland Oregons' finest band from the late 70's/early 80's, The Wipers.

that's cool your into metal. I'm into some things that could be considered metal or have metal elements not that much though.

Thats interesting I didn't know any thing about emocore I'm curious to see what it was like.
Also I think its worth noting that fall out boy never came out on stage and said we are "emo" much in they same way nirvana never claimed to be "grunge" the terms were something people projected on them. I think what I like most about fall out boy they really carve their own path and are not afraid to branch out from what people pigeonhole them as. FOB has worked and toured with rappers and hip hop artists, they have put out an album called "PAX AM Days" which sounds like 80's and 90's hardcore punk, the lead singer had a solo career as a soul/pop artist, they even went on the CMT show country crossroads.
