I really want to learn how to draw people, but the books I have don't teach that. I want to make up some characters ready for when I do computer graphics. Does anyone know how to draw people? I'd like to draw in a manga/anime style.

CRAP!! ! I can barely do anime/manga style. I can only do realistic style. I'll film something right now to help you out. That cool?

You can begin learning face proportions.

There's a lot of anime styles, I don't know what you are looking for.

Yes, have you ever seen Naruto and Hamtaro, for example? Characters are totally diferent (talking about drawing of course)

Some anime series use a "big eyes" style, and others use an anime/realistic style.

Well, I got my drawing style from drawing and watching Rugrats 24/7 when I was younger, and it just kind of stuck. I'd say the only way you can really be good at drawing is by practicing what is easiest for you, and eventually you'll draw it to perfection!

There's some free online guides to drawing anime type people.

I printed a whole lot out and stuck them in a book when I was 15.

I learn now while looking on photos ^^ When i was a child i was trying to redraw pics, or staring at them all the time etc... So i could say that I learn through observation. (like, practice is less important than knowing how visual world looks like... so i'm great in drawing from photos but i suck when i try to draw something from my memory or imagination XD)

I think everyone learns diffrent... maybe you'll have better effects with lots of practice (like most of people do), or maybe you should just watch as much photos and pics as you can... (for example I couldn't learn anything if i was only drawing) ...you must know how you learn.

All i know is that drawing tutorials sucks XD
