Start a song, or speak in iambic pentameter (rhyme/verse). Discuss poems, songs, or anything rhythmic, musical, or lyrical!

"'Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe. All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe." (Lewis Carrol)

Try saying this 3 times fast! I feel sorry for Alice when she had to translate this puzzle out. If you want to try, here's a tip: the odd words are either old English or Carrol's creations.

I'd like finding out the meanings of these lyrics to The Tubes' track Haloes, from their self-titled 1975 album on A&M Records, which my older neurotypical siblings had on vinyl way back when:

HALOES

I am looking for someone today.
Someone I can get to see my way.
When I find that light, I'll lay down low.
When I know I'm right, I won't let go!

In my mind I feel this world is small.
I think that I would like to see some more.

Even though my name is in the neighborhood,
I can't find that line in the way I should!
Can't they tell I built my heart a wall?
And I would be so glad to be recalled!

Looking through the eyes of one who knows,
The world is small but I could make it grow!

How can I believe in the things you say?
You can't sing the song I want to play!
Hey by now I know I've got it right,
And you can't even see the end in sight!

In my mind, I feel this world is small.
I think I'd like to see some more.
Looking through the eyes of one who knows,
The world is small but I could make it grow.
In my mind, I feel this world is small.
I think that I would like to see some more!
