you
with your hands around my neck
without an ounce
of subtlety or guile
remind me why i am here
my purpose for life
beyond the usual trappings
of children and things
of wants and needs
of life and love

"create!"
you scream in the night
in my face
in my soul
"color this life!
fill the wasted spaces!"

"make or die!"
and i obey.

for not every muse is kind.

Wow...that was inspiring...it was certainly not what I would expect from a poem on one's muse...the muse you depict is very impressive...I would like to draw her (or him)... It had a good impact the way you started the poem with 'you'.
