Has anybody read The Fifth Child by Doris Lessing? I am totally taken aback by how often her description of Ben's traits fits an autism spectrum disorder, though not all of it of course as he is portrayed as exaggeratedly vicious apart from that, but I think the association definitely comes to mind. If you agree, do you think (know) if this was intentional or just pure chance?
